What started out as a pretty standard, beautiful, and culturally enriching surf trip soon turned into an incredibly wild adventure. Four days before we were set to fly out of the country, the borders closed and Morocco banned all incoming and outgoing flights because of the new COVID variant. We were stuck. But it wasn't all bad...

Episode 1
After 5 years of not seeing each other, Roo, Ben and Thomas reunite and set off for some epic surf sessions on the Moroccan coastline. Straying from their cold water origins in the rainy and wild waves of the UK, the boys change it up for some warmer weather adventures. In this episode we meet the crew, learn the history of the Goat Surf Club (G.S.C.) and discover the adventure that awaits...

In this episode, the boys explore a little bit of the cultural side of Morocco; befriending local barbers, sheep herders and restaurant owners in town.
The fun didn't stop there as Thomas had a little bit of an unexpected accident in the water that required some medical attention...

“I love this so much!! Living for next Tuesday 😍”
As the omicron variant of COVID-19 hits Morocco hard, Roo, Ben and Thomas discover that their flights are cancelled. Tune into this week's episode as they navigate flight cancellations, calls with their embassies and realize they are truly stuck in Morocco now that borders have closed...

Like I said at the beginning, this is a story about friendship. Sure, we had some wild adventures in the process but what matters is the brotherly love we got to experience together. Join us in the final episode of the Goat Surf Club - Trapped in Morocco series as we navigate a 6 hour road trip across the desert just to arrive at an airport that may or may not permit us onto the flight...

What’s Next?!
So, this is the start of an ongoing project documenting the Goat Surf Club in our attempt to share positive, impactful stories in surf communities around the world…
Our main goal with this is to provide a couple of episode series a year, similar to this one we just did in Morocco, but with a more impact driven lens. A sort of travel/surf/environmentalism style show that can educate people on different cultures, social and environmental issues through the lens of surf tourism.
As we continue developing the next trip we’d love to hear from YOU! We’re hoping to partner with environmental nonprofits, social justice organizations or individuals making an impact in their coastal communities around the world to share their stories and surf alongside them.
