FUN FACTS ABOUT ROO
Roo’s resume reads like worn pages of an adventure novel. He is a wilderness first responder, swift-water rescue certified, avalanche level 1 trained, a stand up paddle-board instructor and a former lifeguard. He speaks Spanish fluently and Arabic conversationally. He surfs, snowboards, mountain bikes, climbs and likes to explore new cultures and environments as demonstrated by his several international mountain and ocean based expeditions on 5 of the 7 continents (missing out on Australia + Antartica).
With all of his outdoor experiences and camera expertise, he plans to continue sharing the stories of the people and companies who inspire hope, joy and adventure in him.

Roo is a commercial/documentary filmmaker and photographer based in Boulder, Colorado but travels all around the world for his filmmaking career. He has directed documentaries for Patagonia in California, produced films for Outside Magazine throughout Europe and Africa, camera operated for Netflix in the Rocky Mountain West, and photographed among indigenous communities in South America, and has received notable recognition in his hometown of Orcas Island in Washington State for his work telling uplifting stories in the outdoor space.
