Keeping the Childlike Adventures Going a Little Longer…
I grew up on a small island off of Washington State and was often found romping around the beautiful lakes and hiking trails with my childhood best friend Jack. Jack and I both recently graduated college and will be beginning our lives as responsible adults with 9-5 jobs soon enough but wanted one last adventure for our childhood memories before that all begins. Every morning as a kid, I looked out my living room window across the ocean at a beautiful island and decided that it was finally time for me to go. With a pair of kayaks, a tent, a camera and an unhealthy amount of junk food we embarked to discover this beautiful island that awaited just outside my front door for all these years.

Roo is a commercial/documentary filmmaker and photographer based in Boulder, Colorado but travels all around the world for his filmmaking career. He has produced films for Outside Magazine in Ireland, camera operated for Netflix in the Rocky Mountain West, photographed among indigenous communities in Peru and Ecuador, directed videos with professional climbers in Mexico and has received notable recognition in his hometown of Orcas Island in Washington State for his work telling uplifting stories in the outdoor space.
